For its inaugural season “Spines, Cables and Other Bodies”, Mnemozine is collaborating with casino luxembourg – forum d’art contemporain.
For the conference cycle Am I A.I.? (click to see the program) taking place at Casino Luxembourg, Mnemozine, with the support of SCRIPT, is organising a set of public interventions to create openings for philosophical reflection.
Living Glossary (September 21 – February 22)
The Living Glossary is an online mind-map accessible to the audience of the conference cycle and visitors of Casino Luxembourg from September 2021 to February 2022. It aims to develop a continuously growing public and collaborative research glossary about human and machine intelligence. By means of a QR code, the public gain access to a Flinga session in which they can write down their thoughts and post photos, quotes, texts or any other reference material that they relate to the themes of the lecture series. The results of the online mind-map will be documented in the form of a physical research wall and displayed at Casino in February 2022.

Maybe/Maybe not: Algorithmic learning, or how to confuse your algorithm (February 2022)
A workshop designed for students which shows how websites and social media platforms learn, decipher and categorise our online activities. A look at the coding-anatomy of websites lays bare how algorithms ‘think about’ the content they analyse in order to understand the user’s preferences and what content is best suited for them. Using photography and counter-mapping strategies, the students participate in an experiment in which we confuse algorithms by feeding them non-identifiable images, dissonant tastes in music or contradicting opinions in order to offer strategies of resistance to how algorithms shape our online existence.
Thinking the Digital: Critical Perspectives for the Classroom (March 2022)
A workshop, designed for teachers, which offers ideas and tools for critical reflection about A.I., algorithms and the digital age in a school context.
